CHCP Health Tip:

Founders

Joe Perry:

Joe Perry has spent the last 18 years as owner and president of Canadian Health Care Products.
Joe's role involves Business Development,Partnership Opportunities, Human Resources and Sales.
His knowledge of the medical industry is extensive and kept up to date by continually keeping certified with every new Federal, Provincial and civic regulation. My focus is "Keeping Canadians In Motion".

Wade Scott:

Wade Scott is Co-Owner and Secretary Treasurer of CHCP. Wade's career in the healthcare field began in 1995. He started out in service, installing van lifts, porch lifts, ceiling tracks, residential elevators, repairing power and manual wheelchairs and working directly with therapists and end users.
Wade spent two years working with Occupational and Physio Therapists in Regina to determine mobility needs for their clients. During this time, Wade also traveled all over Saskatchewan servicing the needs of rural communities. It was this experience that uncovered the need in smaller centres for better mobility care. Wade made it his personal mission to educate doctors, administrators, rehab aids and any other healthcare professional who would listen on the benefits of new products that could substantially improve the lives of their patients.
For the past nine years, Wade has worked extensively with HSC staff on improving the mobility of patients with spinal cord injuries. Wade's product knowledge and experience, combined with the talented therapy team at HSC has produced great results. Many patients who thought they would never experience the freedom of mobility again, have a new lease on life.

Jake Smellie:

Jake Smellie co-founded CHCP May 1999 with partners, Joe Perry and Wade Scott.
Jake was involved in a train accident in April of 1983 which resulted in the loss of both his legs. Since then he has been an advocate for wheelchair sports in Manitoba. In addition to joining the wheelchair sports association he has competed nationally & internationally in wheelchair basketball, racquetball and tennis.
